I love rock and roll. Put another dime in the juke box, Baby. What? you need a quarter? I only have a dime. Does anyone here have a quarter? Anyone?

  1. Oh, Joan Jett… she brushed past a guy I know as he took her picture backstage. She was not a pleasant person it seems, even to backstage VIP visitors. She’s just as old as me, so I’ll cut her a break. πŸ™‚

  2. This reminds me of a gaming session. We were a fairly low level party, and we were hunting down some cultists in a sewer (where else?). We cam accross someone who had the markings of the cult that we were looking for.

We drew our weapons, and the ‘innocent person’ immediately surrendered. He said that he was a defector working against the cult that we were hunting, and if we (the party) gave him a weapon, he would help us.

For some reason we trusted him, and gave him a sword. He then said that he wanted to be at the back of the column because he was scared. Again, for some reason, we agreed.

As soon as we had gone a couple of paces, he stabs the rear-most member of the party in the back, nearly crippling him. We then turned around and beat the stuffing out of him.

Memo to self: NPC’s may lie.

  3. @Byron: I don’t think Joan was ever truly comfortable with her own popularity. I did meet her once after a free concert in Gainesville. She was very “up” and was laughing and hugging everyone. Didn’t seem stoned, just happy and jazzed from the show.

@Alan: This is my favorite kind of reply. I love hearing about other people’s game sessions. Thanks!

  4. @kevin: You MET Joan Jett? How did I not know this. You should have told me that when we met. You would have gotten lucky much sooner. You know, like in two days, instead of three.
