Just a little bit here at the beginning, about the end.
You are looking at the first step in a five and a half year journey, already laid out in its entirety. There are eight hundred and twenty one pages of HOLE, some I am hugely pleased with, and some, slightly less so. As a whole though, the project made, and continues to make, me proud.
I learned a lot during those five and a half years. I learned quite a bit about production, expectations, and daily creativity — as well as the ways a little obsessiveness can wreck your nice, quiet home routine. Mostly though, I learned about myself. What I really wanted to do with my life, and what I didn’t.
Please feel free to enjoy the comic here. It is complete, with a beginning, middle, and end, that even sort of remotely resembles my initial plans for it. You won’t be left hanging, frustrated at beginning an abandoned project.
As it turned out, by far my favorite part of this entire process was the writing. So that’s where I have turned my attention. I am currently working on a four-part series of novels that continues the story of Lesser Earth, with all new characters. They will be inexpensively available anywhere I can find to sell ebooks. (More on this when the first one comes out!). If you’d like to be notified of my upcoming projects, please join my mailing list by filling out the form in the sidebar.
